Is your lab licensed?  Yes. The practitioner works with a lab which is  based in the Atlanta metropolitan area and it is licensed by several state and federal agencies and provides reference testing for other laboratories nationwide.

Are there medical doctors on staff at the lab to help with questions?. Yes, we have medical doctors at the lab available to us during regular business hours. We can call or email them for you.  

What makes your lab superior? Our Elisa IgG Food Antibody Profile measures the sum of IgG4 levels in serum that react to 90 different foods. Most other labs do not use a level 4.

What method of testing to you use? Elisa

How will I know what to do when I receive the test results? We will send you an interpretation along with your food list and a suggested diet based on the test results.

Do you test for immediate food reactions? No those are easy to figure out; we test for delayed food reactions. Those are foods that cause reactions hours or even a day or two later after the food was eaten.

How do I know which food allergies are more serious than others?  Our report will give you a scale from +1 (minimal allergy) to +5 (severe allergy)

Can food allergies cause pain?
Yes, food can contribute to pain (fibromyalgia, arthritis, etc). Most of my client’s pains have been drastically reduced when they eliminate the problem foods.

How does food affect children with ADD or ADHD?
They can cause nervous system distress which can cause the signals in the brain to slow down or speed up. This can result in brain fog symptoms or hyperactive thoughts and actions.

How often should I get a food allergy test?
Once and then one year later to see if any improved. 

Can food allergies cause irritable bowel symptoms and digestive disorders?
Yes, you may be eating foods that your system is having trouble digesting which is causing stomach upset.

Can food allergies cause skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis?
Yes. Food can trigger and allergic response which can cause a skin reaction.

Can food allergies weaken the immune system?
Yes, they can lead to mucous and congestion, cold and flu symptoms and more.

Is it true that leaky gut can cause food allergies?
It is my experience that the more food allergies a person has, the worse their absorption of nutrients is & thus the leakier the gut is.

Is this covered by my insurance?
You can submit the bill to insurance but we cannot guarantee it will be covered. Our lab is considered out of network.  You can use CPT code: 86001 x90 - Antigen - specific IgG

Is it accurate?
Yes, in fact we use a #4 sensitivity level when most labs only use #1.

How long till I get my results in the mail?
About 3 weeks.

Is it safe to mail you my credit card information?
Yes, I will charge the card and then shred the information. Your credit card information will not be kept on file without your approval.

Can I get my money back?
Only if the kit has not be received at the lab.

Why a blood draw instead of a blood spot test?
A blood spot only tests for 30 foods and a blood draw tests for 90 foods.

What do I do with the blood draw kit when it arrives?
First put the freezer pack in your freezer. It is needed to keep the blood chilled during shipment.
Simply take the kit to any lab or clinic and ask them to draw your blood. It is NOT necessary to fast. Then put the freezer pack in the kit and go to a place that has a FedEx drop and shipping is free.
